Gene Vaughn

Gene grew up in Big Spring, Texas. He was a 1964 graduate of Big Spring High School. He was drafted into the USMC in the summer of 1966. He was a radio operator. He was killed by rocket/mortar fire on May 2, 1967. He is remembered by his community, the Big Spring Vietnam Memorial and the Permian Basin Vietnam Memorial in Midland, Texas. May his sacrifice never be forgotten.
