Panel 29 West Row 50 holds the name of Morgan Thompson. We were together in the Boy's Home Association in Jacksonville, Florida. I remember him coming home on leave prior to his tour in Vietnam and we were all so impressed with his uniform but afraid for him at the same time. A number of others from the Boy's Home had been injured over there and we all knew families who had lost loved ones from the mid-Sixties through 69.

Morgan wanted to BE somebody and to prove himself better than the circumstances life had put him into. He's not on The Virtual Wall and I'm sure many others aren't, either. However, all of you are in the hearts of those of us who followed you in service to the nation.

I remember you, Morgan, and honor your sacrifice and the sacrifice of all those who have served.
