Vic was a childhood friend from a small coal camp in West Virginia. He was the first friend to die in Viet Nam and the first to put a human face on the war statistics for me. This gorgeous, dark haired young man (only 20 years old)was enjoying the Bob Hope Christmas show when he was killed. This was the story, as I remember it. After 40 years, I am thinking about friends and hoping others also remember them with affection and appreciation for the sacrifices they made. Please, if anyone has pictures, or memories of Vic to add to this site, do so. No one should be faceless or just another statistic. These folks on the Wall had lives which deserve to be remembered. Rest in peace, dear Vic.
