15 Feb 2008 Dearest Brother, I can hardly believe it is going to be 40 years without you. I miss you every day. I wonder many times how our lives would be different... "What if?" Mom and Dad are with you now. Many people still tell me of the impact you had on them in your short time here on earth. It makes me proud. I wish you were here to see your nieces and your nephews. A Note from The Virtual Wall During Operation ALLEN BROOK, the 1st Bn, 27th Marines conducted offensive operations on Go Noi Island southwest of Danang. On 15 June Bravo Company spotted enemy soldiers in a treeline and called in 81mm mortar fire. Three short rounds landed in the Bravo 1/27 position, killing two men and wounding one other. The two men killed, both Navy Corpsmen formally assigned to H&S Company, were HM3 Joseph E. Tamagnini of Edison, NJ, and HN Thomas E. Gregory of Endwell, NY. "You guys are the Marine's doctors - There's none better in the business than a Navy Corpsman ..." -- Lieutenant General "Chesty" Puller -- Visit John Dennison's Medics on the Wall memorial which honors the Army Medics and Navy Corpsmen who died in Vietnam.
