Rogelio was from Odessa, Texas, an oilfield city near New Mexico. He was drafted into the Army, served as an ammo bearer in Field Artillery, and he was killed in an accident in Vietnam in April 1967. He is remembered on the Permian Basin Vietnam Memorial located at Midland, Texas and on the Ector County Vietnam Memorial.
