It is with deep gratitude we are remembering you and all the others who served and died in times of war so that we may enjoy the Freedom and Liberties that make the United States of America great.

Bill Stacy lived up the street from me at Lake Quivira, Kansas City, Kansas.
From a friend, fellow Boy Scout, and schoolmate, |
I had the honor of meeting Bill at Culver Military Academy, a college prep military school located in Culver, Indiana. Bill, in addition to being a great guy, became an example and an inspiration to all his friends. From day one he expressed a desire to go to West Point upon graduation from Culver. By his military attitude and high sense of discipline no one doubted that his career would be military service. A few days ago I heard he was killed in Vietnam in 1966. I had no idea and was greatly saddened by what I heard. Bill was one of my very best friends at Culver Military Academy.
