From his brother, 02 May 2006 Steve has been gone over 36 years now and we think of him every day. His sister Leslie named her son Stephen Pitt after Steve, and Steve's nephew Rich named his son Stephen Arthur Spiers 2nd in Steve's memory. Steve's father William L. Spiers Jr died in 1991. His mother, Kay is 93. Brothers Richard, William (Boud) and sisters K.C. and Leslie. We don't know how Steve felt about the war itself but we do know that he loved his country and his fellow Green Berets and that he believed in his duties as a medic. Steve served proudly and he died bravely.
From his brother, 05 Jun 2007 It has been 37 years since Steve was taken from us and we still think of him every day. He was a special young man and we miss him dearly. His mother Catherine Holland Spiers is now 94. Steve's youngest sister, Leslie, named her son Stephan Pitt after Steve and Steve's nephew Rich named his son Stephan Arthur Spiers II in Steve's memory.
From his brothers Dick and Bill (Boud) and sisters Casey (KC) and Leslie.
