We will remember... We will earn your sacrifice.

I knew Carl very well and he was a very proud man. I'm so glad to see this site set up for Carl. I worked with Carl up till the day he was killed. I knew he had a wife and new child back in Ohio. I considered Carl a decent human being and would love to talk to anyone in his family, anytime. It would help me to heal also.
From a friend, |
Sparrow and I served in the same company (3rd Shore Party). I was the radio operator for a helicopter support team, Sparrow and Carl Simpson were the men with me that directed and hooked or unhooked loads. We were all together up until his death. Simpson was wounded and I was the lucky one as my radio took my shrapnel. As stated by Carlos Moralas he was a great guy and talked about his child and wife with pride. I would have traded places with him that day if I could. Carl, you have been in my thoughts and I hope that when I pass we will meet again, for this I pray to God.
