I don't know much about David Lee Siverly but this brave man is my Grandpa's cousin. I was doing research on the Vietnam war for class and my Grandpa told me to look up his cousin David so I did so. Siverly is an uncommon name so I was shocked to find at least one Siverly who served in the war. Much thanks to all and David - Thank you!
From his cousin's granddaughter, |
Dear Dad, there is so much I never had the chance to say to you, and upon the approach of the 39th anniversary of you death, I write this to you with an always heavy heart. You have been missed every day by those who loved you, and also by the ones you never had the chance to know. Your pictures are placed about my home surrounded in warmth and strength, I see you every day. Your grandaughter Chloe' (now 16) knows your smile well, and has heard many stories of your life. As I enter into my 39th year of life I know daily that I always have the courage to face whatever life chooses to send my way, and I do my best knowing that I got that ability from you and Mom.
Peace and love always, |
Dear Grandpa, as I read what my mother wrote I start to cry. I cry because I never got the chance to know you. I do see your pictures every day and know your smile very well but I will always wish that I had gotten the chance to meet you. You are always greatly missed but never forgotten and will live on in my heart!
