SSG Scott, Although I never knew you, but I had the pleasure of serving with your son in the USAF over 20 years ago. We both attended technical training at Chanute Air Force Base in Illinois and then went to the same first assignment with the 81st Tactical Fighter Wing at Royal Air Force Station Bentwaters in the United Kingdom in 1982. Bob and I were roommates and worked in the same office. He and I continued to stay in touch for about ten years afterward, until he left the service, at which point I lost contact with him. I was honored to give your son a charcoal etching of your name from the Vietnam Wall in Washington, D.C. He was always proud of your service and sacrifice, and I know you would be equally proud of him. Bob, if by chance you come across this message, please get in touch with me. I would enjoy hearing from you, I hope all is well with you.
Respectfully
