David, after 30+ years, I still think about you in Civil Air Patrol, Harlingen High School and leaving before your senior year for the Army. Before I knew it, you were dead. My Dad informed me after reading the paper one day when I was preparing for school. Four years later, my Dad would ask me to stay at Texas A&M, rather than quiting at Christmas and go off to Vietnam as a door-gunner -- as you did. Rest in Peace, David. I won't let go of your memory and what you did for your country. Wish I could have gone to your folks and expressed my friendship with you and my sorrow for their loss. Rest in Peace.A memorial from his friend and classmate,Richard B. Frysinger 8512 Devine Lane, Austin, Tx 78748-4824 rbf51@aol.com |
