Bill,

You were a true friend, never a complaint or bad word came from you no matter how difficult the job or mission was.

We never talked about it, but I had a feeling that you were thinking that you were not going to make it back home alive. But you still did your job as a 79-man in the "002" squad.

You were always at my side no matter what, maybe you would have been alive today, when I stepped on that 155 booby trap on 9 April 1969.

I know you are in Heaven, maybe that was God's way of you to join him at his side as you were for me. I'm still asking why you and not me?

You are always in my thoughts and I will strive to make you as proud of me as I was of you.
