Uncle John, Though we've never met, I have heard many stories about you. I have always wondered what it would be like if you had made it home, how we would all be stronger because of your strength and even though you are not here with us, you will always be in my heart. I wish I could have met you.
Love from your niece Tammy |
Dear Johnny, I tried to do all I could for you to keep you from being bored and away from your troubled home life. I wish you could of told me of your plans to join the service because I would of enrolled you into my unit. Being a Sergeant I could of had you put into my Photo Unit doing public relations. Miss you and often think of the fun you, I, and Joe Amato used to have with you when you were very young. Thinking of you, Johnny - Uncle George.
