INDIA CO, 3RD BN, 7TH MARINES, 1ST MARDIV
From New Rochelle, New York
02 February 1944 - 21 June 1967
We were best friends in Vietnam. We got there about the same time and instantly hit it off. He was a fine Marine, my best friend, and a good husband to his wife. He spoke of her so often and how much he loved her. I can't believe he's gone. He didn't just die for his country, he died for me, his wife, and for every American here in the USA. God is the only one who knows why he took Olie, I guess he needed him more than we did here. He will never be forgotten, not by me, his family, his friends, and all the Band of Brothers. I miss you every day, think of you every day, and wish that you were still here. Love you forever and will always remember the sacrifice you made for all of us.
