Remembering this young hero for his service to our country.
Scott Thomas Nelson, Rest well and know that you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

Those we love remain with us,
for love itself lives on...
And cherished memories never fade,
Because a loved one's gone....
Those we love can never be,
more than a thought apart....
For as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart.

From the sister of a yet another fallen young hero, who made the Ultimate Sacrifice in Vietnam. KIA 1967

A Note from The Virtual Wall

Four crewmen and one passenger were killed when a UH-1H (tail number 68-15631) of the 120th Aviation Company went down in the Saigon River in Gia Dinh Province. The aircraft was the "chase plane" in a flight of three carrying MACV VIPs from Saigon to the Thu Duc Corps Training Center. On arrival at 1410 the two VIP aircraft landed while the chase plane was instructed to remain airborne. While awaiting the two primary aircraft, 68-15631 was sighted flying at about 200 feet down the Saigon River. It impacted high-tension cables and broke up in flight, with the cabin section sinking in 60 feet of water. The five men were
  • CWO Robert B. Howard, pilot, Denver, CO
  • WO Scott T. Nelson, copilot, Boulder, CO
  • SP4 Roy L. Felty, crew chief, Brooklyn, KY
  • SP4 Michael W. North, gunner, Bakersfield, CA
  • SSgt Arthur Grasser, USAF, pax, Glen, MT (21st Tac Alft Sqd)
