In 1967 I was stationed at Tuy Hoa Air Base. I can remember the night we came under attack Sep 1967. I was assigned to the 308th Tactical Fighter Squadron as a Weapons Mechanic. I recall being told that we had lost a SPS person that night. I did not know his name at that time and with all else going on never did find out the name until 2006. I would like to at this time apologize to Jerry Moon's family for not taking the time to find his name for all these years. At this time I would like to thank them for his service to our country and having given the ultimate sacrifice. To my fellow Airman Jerry Moon who gave his life to protect us at Tuy Hoa in 1967 - Thank you and God bless you for all time
