30 Jan 2001 I am in contact with your friends Dave and Randy. They were with you when you were killed. Dave has told me what happened. Both Dave and Randy fondly remember you. You are remembered with respect and love. I feel as if you were my 'brother'. I know you had a part in what happened to me when The Moving Wall visited my city. A Note from The Virtual Wall On 01 Aug 1967, during Operation PIKE, H&S Company 3/5 lost two men during a hamlet search 4 kilometers southeast of Hoi An. The men were LCpl Bruce E. Mielke and LCpl Charles G. Butler of Silver Spring, Maryland.
