The database page for James K McAleer
James' family had moved to North Dakota a few years before he left for Vietnam and when his helicopter went down, he was the first casualty from the state of North Dakota. In the city of Steele, North Dakota, where James' mother and sister still live, there is an Am-Vets Hall named for him and a display case holding his picture and medals along with dog tags rescued from the wreckage by a fellow member of his unit. James is survived and greatly loved and missed by his mother Audrey, his sisters Sheila, Diane and Maureen, his brothers Rodger and Allan and many nieces and nephews and their children. |
