Steve was one of the nicest guys I have ever known. Even though he was far from home, he upheld his principles, his faith in God, and never did anything to dishonor himself or the Marine Corps. He was true to himself, his parents, and his girl. What an empty hole he left in this world. No doubt he is still standing guard up above us and doing his duty, just like on earth, without complaint.
