I was speaking to your older brother, LT Lance Mann USN (Ret), the other day. Lance will be signing a U.S. flag in your honor, postumously, to be presented to your teammate David L. Sitter. Everyone misses you and you are not forgotten. As you look down from heaven, please give Lance Mann and David a special hello on Dec. 17th 2002. Your Country has not forgotten you.

I found out a few months ago about what happened to Dan forty years ago. I didn't know. Dan and I met at Lowell High School in San Francisco in 1960. I noticed in a recently published (2007) alumni directory (actually a history of the school) that Dan Mann was not mentioned on the alumni list of military who died in Vietnam. I wonder if the alumni office knows about what happened to Dan. I'll let them know what little I know. I would like to find out where Dan is buried and how to contact his brother, Lance Mann. Hopefully, someone may email me this information. I am sorry about Dan and the soldiers who died with him.
