The database page for Darrel Uldric Mahan
I didn't know Darrel all that well, although we lived in the same small town of McKinney, Texas, and went to junior high together. He was friendly, quiet, always smiling, and an all around good guy. The last time I saw him was when he came home from Marine Corps boot camp on leave and was wearing his summer tropical uniform. He sure looked a lot different from the kid I knew in school. The way he looked and talked and carried himself made a big impression on me and I joined the Corps a year later. I wish I could have got to know him better. Semper Fi, my brother, til we meet again.
