When I was young, my mother told me about a guy she went to school with who was killed in Vietnam. She said he was a great guy and a loss to our small town. When I was in 8th grade our class took a trip to Washington D.C. and one of my main goals was to find his name on the Vietnam Wall. There were so many names I didn't think I would ever find him, but I did. When I came to this web site and could not find his name, I felt like I needed to submit it. Rob was killed 4 years before I was born, so I never new him. But he was friends with my family, and I feel connected to him in that way. He will always be remembered by those who knew him, and even by some who didn't... Rest In Peace, Rob. You are not forgotten. |
