I only knew Paul a little while. I met him his senior year in high school at Permian High School, Odessa, Texas. He was in the class of 1966. Paul went into the Navy right out of high school. He did a couple of tours in Vietnam in the river boats and then went back for a third tour when he was killed.

Paul was the middle brother of three boys. Paul's younger brother Terry had a tough time with the loss of his older brother. I took a picture of his name at the Wall in D.C. several years ago and I presented it to Terry. He took and I noticed a tear in his eye. He told me that his mother would love the picture.

I was in the U. S. Army and did a tour in Vietnam in February 1968-69. I saw Paul on one of my leaves home. He was killed not long after that.

Paul is among many friends from Odessa, Texas that perished in Vietnam.
