A Note from The Virtual Wall

At 0030 25 March 1966, during Operation KINGS, the night defensive position of Echo Company 2/9 Marines was struck by a mortar barrage followed by a ground attack. Although the defensive perimeter was not breeched, the Marines had 5 men killed and 15 wounded. Two of the wounded died during or shortly after evacuation. The seven dead were
