Thomas Larry Justice

Corporal Justice was one of the most popular men in his platoon, and company. He was liked equally by officers and enlisted. Mostly, the kids of Vietnam were drawn to him and he reciprocated. He was a kind, competent and good man. He did not die in a vehicle accident as implied in the Wall information. He was riding in his Amtrac (Amphibian Tractor) as crew chief and commanding a convoy to An Hoa. His vehicle was in the lead, as usual, and was hit by a command detontated box mine of approximately 40 lbs. Cpl.. Justice was thrown from the tractor and sustained a broken neck. It was a sunny, warm day. We were monitoring the platoon frequency during the convoy run and got the report from the second vehicle in the run. When we heard his "zap number" on the radio, we all cried. I went immediately to the site and found everone there devastated by his loss. He is missed, daily.
