A Note from The Virtual WallAccording to the 3rd Bn, 27th Marines Command Chronology for June 1968, the 4th man in line in a foot patrol detonated a booby trap believed to have been made from a dud 155mm shell. The explosion killed two men and wounded several others. The dead were HM3 George L. Myers of Chicago, Illinois, and Pfc Oscar R. Juarez of San Angelo, Texas. |
