I was Bruce's Platoon Leader from Feb to June 1969. I remember a very quiet man who never complained about anything. I was told that he got a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star with V at FSB Crook on June 6-7, 1969. I got medevaced the same day. Rest in Peace, Brother. LT Mac

I wish that I could have met you. I just want to thank you for everything that you did. I was only 1 year old when you passed away but I do realize what all of the soldiers have done for all of us and how wonderful that they were and are today. Hugs to you.

To a special hero who made the ultimate sacrifice, I offer my gratitude. You stood up and served our great nation when many others of your generation did not. Even though you are not physically with us I know you are with many other soldiers who still watch over us from the ultimate basecamp in Heaven. You will always be a part of what makes this country great. May God Bless you, young soldier.
