Billy,

We miss you, old bud, and I am somewhat saddened to see that no one has said a word for you here. I have not written myself because it is hard to and I know you will understand.

The Moving Wall is in town this week and I hope to see Jack there but if not I will know why. The last time I saw him was when it was last here in 2001 and he was not good becouse of his wounds and the memories.

I know this is a half-a$$ letter but it was just not right for you not to be remembered other than in someone's heart.

REST EASY, MARINE, FOR THE LINE WAS HELD

I was Billy's squad leader in boot camp, Platoon 3078 San Diego. So sad after all these years to find out a brother didn't make it. Rest in peace, Billy.
