Since 1996, the web site www dot no-quarter dot org
had provided web-based access to the Department of Defense's Vietnam War casualty database
named the Southeast Asia Combat Area Combined Casualty File (CACCF).
The www dot no-quarter dot org web site was maintained by three volunteers who would not accept any form of donation, payment, or advertising. Those three men helped us open The Virtual Wall in 1997, using the CACCF database. The Virtual Wall had numerous links to www dot no-quarter dot org The men who ran www dot no-quarter dot org accidentally allowed their domain name registration to expire. That popular domain name was quickly snatched up by a person who now uses it for a totally unrelated purpose. It was reported to us that the new site purposely trys to install viruses on the computers of visitors. Therefore, we no longer have links to that domain name and we suggest that you not try to visit that site without the understanding the risk of a web site that may install a virus or other malware on your computer that could do any or all of the following: install a keylogger that will capture credit card numbers, install software that will frequently throw advertising at you, install software that will use your computer to distribute pornography to other computers, install software that will use your computer to spread email with fraudulent schemes, false advertising that leads visitors to pornography web sites, or software that erases all your files and makes your computer useless. |
