My brother, A1C Frank A. Uhlik, Jr, lived in Scofield, Michigan, at the time of his enlistment in the Air Force in 1966. He was severely injured in a munitions explosion at Korat RTAFB, Thailand on March 11, 1968, and subsequently died of those injuries on March 15, 1968 in the Air Force hospital at Clark AB, The Philippines. He was 19 years old. His name was added to the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C. in the mid-1980s. His name is also engraved on the Vietnam Memorial in Monroe County, Michigan. |
