A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 14 May 1970, during the incursion into the NVA sanctuary areas in Cambodia, Charlie Company 3/506 Infantry captured a massive NVA base camp. Alpha Company, 3/12 Infantry, was inserted to assist C/3/506 in securing the camp area while the supplies and munitions were destroyed. Alpha 3/12 took one casualty from a sniper and two more when they engaged an enemy force in a two hour fight. The three men were
