My dear brother ... I have missed you in my life: when I graduated from high school and from college, when I got married and all the while I raised a beautiful daughter. I missed you when our father died in 1985. I have missed your participation in my life, and I have missed sharing the highlights with you. While life has not always been easy or made sense, I believe today that you would be pleased to see that I am happy, that I have much love in my life, and that I am an artist, at last, with my works in collections from coast to coast.
Though your life was brief, your life mattered. The world will always have an awareness of your presence. Terry, you held on to me through a few struggles ... and I have held on to you through many more. Although the sound of your voice has faded in my memory, your smile and your kind eyes live on: I often see you reflected in other people I meet. I will never stop missing you. I will never stop loving you.
I love you, dear brother ...
Debra
The name of the piece is: "Home on Love" ...
and I had inscribed the back (to my parents)
"Through God's heart, my fingertips, to you, my parents."
