The database page for Richard Joseph Grieme
Richard Grieme was not in my platoon but almost everyone knew him. He was a friend to all. One day in the Spring of 1970 about 30 of us were loaded on a C7 for a long move. Richard had flown some and was talking to the crew because he had never flown a twin engine before. After we took off they let him have the co-pilot's place and take the controls. He enjoyed it very much and it was the last time I remember being around him. We lost two men on June 20th 1970 in Cambodia - the other was also his friend, Mark Brantley from El Monte, California. Our Company has a reunion every year and we always talk about them.
