VirtualWall Note

Lieutenant Paul Gregory, assigned to Fighter Squadron 92 embarked in USS AMERICA (CVA-66), died when his F-4J PHANTOM went down in the Gulf of Tonkin. His Radar Intercept Officer sucessfully ejected and was picked by SAR forces, but there was no sign of LT Gregory. It is unknown whether Gregory attempted to eject from his aircraft or if he "rode it in" while attempting to recover the aircraft.
