I just wish we could have had the time to do the things we dreamed about but we WILL be together again, can't wait to see you again except you will still be young and handsome and I' m getting old and gray. Acts of terrorism are always stupid but they happen. Help them to understand that God in his infinite wisdom has a plan even it it's hard to understand. I love you and trust you to be their welcoming beacon. 25 Nov 2003 Today is your birthday and I'm missing you a lot, hope the angels are baking you a great big cake, we are making you a strawberry cake with strawberry icing, the girls will blow out the candles for you, hope we don't have to have the fire department here!!! I'm going to have to get a bigger tree just for your ornaments. Chistmas was wonderful, wish you could have been here but then you are always here. 11 Feb 2008 I feel really weird doing this as I never met Roger, but I have recently found his Purple Heart, picture, and papers and I feel that I should come mourn the loss of a fellow American who fought bravely for his country. A Note from The Virtual Wall D Company, 1/7 Cavalry, lost two men on 03 July 1971 while operating about 10 kilometers south of the Gia Ray airfield in Long Khanh Province - SGT Roger W. Farewell and SGT Richard Sallee of Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
