A Note from The Virtual Wall

1st Lt Jerome Elkins and a Vietnamese observer were flying a visual reconnaissance mission just south of the Demilitarized Zone when their aircraft, O-1E tail number 57-6271, was shot down. Both men were killed in the crash.
