Robert Leon Dunaway, Jr is on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Panel 08W Line 130.

He is missed to this day by all that knew him.

He was killed while flying as an observer on an OH-58A (tail number 69-16089) when a .51 caliber machine gun opened fire from a position 3000 meters west of what was known as "The Rock Pile". Also killed was the Crew Chief, a man by the name of Paul Ward. It appears that the pilot of the aircraft survived, but his name is unknown at this time. I would like to hear from anyone who knew Bobby or Paul.
