Robert was raised in Colorado City, Texas. Everyone knew him by his nickname of "Tiger". He was a 1964 graduate of Colorado City High School. He enlisted in the Army after graduation and was trained in infantry and completed airborne training. He was killed 7 1/2 months into his tour in Vietnam from gunshot wounds. He is buried in the Colorado City, Texas Cemetery near three other soldiers from the CCHS Class of 1966. He is remembered by his community and by the Permian Basin Vietnam Veterans' Memorial in Midland, Texas. May his sacrifice never be forgotten.
