Staff Sergeant Nevitt Davis is buried in Kelsey Cemetery in Upshur County a few miles out of Gilmer, Texas.

Staff Sergeant Nevitt Davis was assigned to the 3rd Force Recon Company, 3rd Recon Battalion. It seems clear SSgt Davis was not on his first tour in Vietnam; in the photograph at the top of the page he is wearing ribbons for the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Vietnam service, among others.
