I was only 10 years old when my mother caught me staring at your picture in the back of her yearbook. My eyes darted back and forth between you and Charles Barnes, when she told me your story. She (Deborah Wilkins) graduated alongside your little brother. I've been to the Moving Wall, the Wall in Pensacola, and The Wall in DC ... all three times making sure I found your name at "45E Row 9". Your classmates still speak of you and I still (when home on leave) grab that 1968-69 annual and keep your face vivid in my mind. I will never forget nor will any Matador forget you! |
