The database page for Terry Lee Clark
Terry got married three months before he left for Vietnam. He met his wife and mother in Hawaii on R&R and they made plans for Christmas - his tour was scheduled to end just in time for him to be home for the holidays.
On 09 November his unit was securing a hill near Chu Lai in an area thick with jungle underbrush. They were getting ready to move out after a short break and Terry asked a friend for a hand up. The friend's weapon caught in a vine and discharged, killing Terry instantly. He had 41 days left to serve in Vietnam. |
