I remember you and my sister dating.
How proud you were of your Marine uniform.
You were like an older brother to me.
How I teased you trying to
put fingerprints on the bill of your hat.
You showed me how you spit shined your shoes.
I know you died a hero.
I will always remember the good times we shared.
