A Note from The Virtual WallA number of US and SVN positions in Binh Duong Province were attacked by fire and/or ground attack on 23 Feb 1969. One of the largest attacks was on the 25th Infantry Division base camp at Dau Tieng, where an estimated two battalions of enemy troops were able to penetrate a portion of the perimeter before being ejected. Although the MACV Summary for 23 Feb says the attack resulted in 5 US dead and 31 wounded, it is believed the death toll was higher - 13 US soldiers:
