Gone but not Forgotten Shawn was my first cousin. I had returned home (DEROS 9 Aug 1968) from Vietnam after serving with the Americal Division (23rd Inf) as a Mortar Crewman in I Corps, when I received the sad news. During my tour, while visiting the USO, I signed a register and turned around and Shawn's brother Conall, a Special Forces "Green Beret" was standing behind me, to my amazement! He had deployed from Hawaii with the 11th Inf which became part of the Americal Division. I will always remember Shawn as a quiet, reserved, intelligent and gentle man and a good musician. One of my favorite cousins. RIP, Shawnee. Richie
