The database page for Gary Ray Bryant

14 Dec 2004

My name is Tammy Bryant and I am the daughter of Gary Bryant. I have a younger brother, Gary Bryant Jr, who was born four days after our daddy's plane went down in An Khe. We know very little about our daddy and we are looking to all the wonderful vets who read these postings to help us find out more about him. He served in Korea before Vietnam. If anyone out there knew him or if you were in An Khe between 11-16-1965 and 1-25-1966 please email me. We desperately want to find out more about him, his absence has left an unfillable hole in our lives.

Thanks so much,
Tammy

A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 25 Jan 1966 elements of the 1st Cavalry Division were redeploying in preparation for Operation Masher, a division-size sweep mission. A C-123B Provider (tail number 54-0702) transporting troops from An Khe to Bong Sen went down in Binh Dinh Province. Four aircrew and 42 troopers from 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry, were killed in the accident.
