Billy, Hello old buddy ...

I went to the wall to see your name again the other day and memories of our years at St. Frances of Rome and Morton East flowed like fine wine.

I remember that you always had one or two more badges on your Cub Scout uniform than I did back in 3rd through 5th grade and how hard I tried to catch up to you, but never quite made the grade. We had some great years, all the way through high school.

I remember the day that you and I talked about enlisting under the buddy system, I also remember telling you about the new job in the lithographic firm that I decided to take instead of enlisting in the Marine Corps. Right after your funeral I enlisted in the Air Force and did 20 years for our country and never regretted it ... Proud to have served!!!!

You were a great friend ... and they say friendship lasts forever ... I will never forget you!!!!
