Robert Earl Baldwin served with the 3-506th Infantry (Currahees) of the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam.

From "The Stand Alone Battalion" by Jerald Berry and Joe Alexander:

"Company C eventually made contact with a reinforced Viet Cong company in bunker positions at Phu Bon Hamlet. The Currahees fought a heated battle against Viet Cong armed with automatic weapons, mortars, and B-40 rockets, resulting in two Currahees KIA and thirty others wounded. The Battle at Phu Bon Hamlet claimed the lives of Sgt. Paul Harold Cline,20, from West Palm Beach, Florida and Sp4 Robert Earl Baldwin, 23, of Cleburne, Tx."

Robert was born April 12, 1944 in Kentucky and had lived in Texas for nine years. He was survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt Baldwin, and a sister Barbara. He is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Cleburne, Texas.

God rest your soul, Currahee!
