A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 29 May 1966 two companies of the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, fought a bitter engagement with NVA troops in Thua Thien Province. Echo Company lost eight men, including a Corpsman from H&S, and 13 men from Golf Company were killed:
