Richard Michael Arnovitz was the oldest of three brothers (one other also served). As a child he was a brilliant student and later he was the first Jewish cadet ever enrolled at Valley Forge Military Academy where he excelled in military thinking. He later went to college and became a accredited expert in the Hundred Years War at the University of Pennsylvania. He would have received his PhD but believed he could serve his country better. He left home with a pregnant wife. He gave his life for his men and never looked back.
