Notes from The Virtual WallPrivate Ray Angus was on his second tour in Vietnam when he was killed in action. He arrived in Vietnam with Alpha Co, 1/7 Marines, and in December 1965 was transferred to Kilo 3/4. He was rotated back to the States in June 1966, serving with the 2/8 Marines and the Staging Bn, MCB Camp Pendleton, before returning to Vietnam. He joined Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines on 19 July 1967.On 15 August 1967 Charlie 1/1 lost 10 men to mines:
He was buried on 29 August 1967 in Plot F1-0-7688,
